TSUS – Edmund P. Kuempel Scholarship (SK0005)

The Texas State University System Foundation (TSUS) established the Edmund P. Kuempel Scholarship to provide financial assistance to worthy and deserving students, to encourage academic excellence, and to recognize student leadership and achievements. The Edmund P. Kuempel Scholarship Program provides a one-time, $5,000 grant to incoming freshman, transfer or currently enrolled students to assist with tuition, required fees, living expenses, and/or educational materials.

To compete for this scholarship, a student must meet the following criteria:

• The candidate must have declared a course of study, or a current student must be enrolled in a course of study,
  which results in an undergraduate degree
• For currently enrolled students, the candidate must have completed 12 hours of coursework at Texas State with a minimum 3.5 cumulative Texas State GPA
• For incoming transfer students, the candidate must have completed 12 minimum transferable, post high school credit hours at an accredited institution
• For incoming freshman students, the candidate must have achieved a minimum ACT score of 28 or minimum SAT score of 1310
• The candidate must be a U.S. citizen and a legal resident of the state of Texas
• The candidate must not have received the scholarship previously

The Texas State University System Foundation (TSUS) selects the final recipients for the scholarship.
