Quanta Services Scholarship (SQ0003)

Quanta Services is a comprehensive infrastructure solutions company for the utility, renewable energy, communications, pipeline, and energy industries. The Quanta Services Scholarship provides support for Texas State University students to participate in work-based learning experiences (internships) during summer 2024. The scholarship is open to Texas State undergraduate students who have secured an internship with any company or institution, including recipients of Quanta Services internships (see Quanta Services’ internship website for requirements and more information).

Award Detail: $1,500 scholarship

Eligibility & Criteria

1. Texas State University undergraduate students in good standing who are enrolled in spring and summer 2024, and have secured an internship for summer 2024.
2. Awardees must be enrolled at Texas State during the fall semester of 2024.
3. Must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA average.
4. Must complete a 200-400 word essay describing your academic accomplishments and how the scholarship will help you achieve your academic and career objectives. Include details on your summer internship and your estimated financial need as a result of participation in the internship.
5. If awarded a scholarship, the awardee will submit a mid-term and final report with a reflection on the internship experience.
6. Current international students must be approved for Curricular Practical Training (CPT) for the awarding semester to be eligible. The Quanta Services Scholarship is a competitive scholarship for one semester only. International student awardees should seek clarification from the Financial Aid & Scholarships office about whether this qualifies their case for in-state tuition.
