Holly G King Information Technology Endowed Scholarship (SK0003)

The Holly G. King Information Technology Scholarship is awarded to student employees of Texas State’s Information Technology Division who attend Texas State. One scholarship of at least $500 will be awarded to assist with Fall tuition and fees. Additional scholarships of varying amounts may be awarded subject to funds availability.
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

  • Be a current student employee of the Division of Information Technology at Texas State University at the time of application and award; and
  • Enroll full-time for the upcoming fall term at either the graduate or the undergraduate level; and
  • Maintain a 2.5 or greater Texas State GPA; and
  • Have declared a program of study in a computer-centric, technology-related discipline; and
  • Complete an online application process that includes providing a personal essay, a current resume, two references, and a Texas State transcript.

  1. This scholarship is restricted to current student employees of the Information Technology Division. To be eligible as a current student employee, you must have completed three months of employment service in the division prior to the scholarship opportunity start date. Do you meet these criteria?
  2. Do you agree to enroll in 12 hours of undergraduate coursework or 9 hours of graduate coursework during the semester(s) in which this scholarship will be awarded?
  3. Are you enrolled in a computer-centric, technology-related program of study at Texas State University?

  5. Upload a resume that demonstrates your leadership, extracurricular involvement, community service, and work experience.
  6. Your first letter of recommendation is required from a teacher or professor. By submitting this request for a recommendation, I hereby acknowledge that I am waiving my right of future access to the content of any evaluation that may be provided.
  7. A second letter of recommendation is required from a teacher, a professor, or your Texas State supervisor. By submitting this request for a recommendation, I hereby acknowledge that I am waiving my right of future access to the content of any evaluation that may be provided.
