Lorenzo Estavillo Veteran Award for Academic Excellence (SE5101)

The Lorenzo Estavillo Veteran Award for Academic Excellence is a memorial scholarship named for a Latino World War II veteran who was a Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal recipient from the famous Battle of the Bulge. This is a one-time award for student veterans with outstanding academic credentials who have served the Texas State University community. Recipients of this award have a Texas State University GPA of 3.3 or higher, completed a minimum of 60 hours coursework and demonstrated service to the Texas State University community.

Recipients of this award on average have a Texas State University GPA of 3.3 or higher. To compete for this scholarship, a student must meet the following criteria:

  • Veteran
  • Minimum 3.3 Texas State University GPA
  • Completed minimum 60 hours of coursework
  • Demonstrated service to the Texas State University community
