TSUS - Fernando Gomez Scholarship (SG0035)

The Texas State University System Foundation (TSUS) established the Fernando Gomez Scholarship to provide financial assistance to Hispanic undergraduate students planning to attend law school. The Fernando Gomez Scholarship Program provides a one-time, $2,500 scholarship to a Hispanic undergraduate student who is currently enrolled at a Texas State University to assist with tuition, required fees, living expenses, and/or educational materials.

To compete for this scholarship, a student must meet each of the following criteria:

  • The candidate must be of Hispanic decent
  • Undergraduate student currently enrolled at Texas State University
  • Completed a minimum of 60 hours at time of application and maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress
  • Planning to pursue a law degree to obtain a legal profession
  • The candidate must be a U.S. citizen and a legal resident of the state of Texas
  • The candidate must not have received this scholarship previously

The Texas State University System Foundation (TSUS) selects the final recipients for the scholarship.

Tell us about your current academic plans and other activities you are involved in that support you in achieving your goals. Please include any of your personal or professional achievements related to your goals that you are proud of.
