Computer Science Industrial Advisory Board Scholarship (SC6056)
The Department of Computer Science at Texas State University created an Industrial Advisory Board comprised of members of the industry, and the department holds meetings every year striving for the betterment of the department’s academic programs in meeting the needs of the industry. In 1995, the IAB members established a scholarship fund for a computer science student to work for the IAB in meeting industry and department-related needs, such as creating databases. Contributions were received from IAB members to establish a fund to provide scholarship and financial assistance for students attending Texas State University. In spring 2007, the IAB members voted to use this scholarship account to fund undergraduate research assistants.
