The Jeffries Family Scholarship in Geography (SJ6143)

The Jeffries Family Scholarship in Geography honors Donna Rankin Jeffries. One scholarship is awarded each fall and/or spring pending available funding and applied to the following fall.

The Donna Rankin Jeffries Scholarship in Geography was provided by a generous donation from Donna Rankin Jeffries of Denison, Texas. Mrs. Jeffries was an alumnus of Texas State (SWT) and a long-time teacher in the public schools of Texas. She and her husband, Charles “Jeff” Jeffries, made their home in Denison, Texas.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • be an undergraduate student majoring in Geography for at least 2 years
    OR
  • be a graduate student with a 3.5 GPA in graduate and undergraduate course work majoring in Geography
  • be a graduate student with a combined 300 score or above on the GRE
    AND
  • be an undergraduate or graduate student with demonstrated leadership abilities
  • be an undergraduate or graduate student with a record of participation in extracurricular activities
