The Charles Spurgeon Smith Scholarship in Biology (SS6285)

History:
This endowment was created by Spurgeon Smith is named after his father, Charles Spurgeon Smith. Mr. Smith was a long-time professor at then Southwest Texas State. The Charles Spurgeon Smith Endowment will fund scholarships for a freshman student who is majoring or minoring in Biology.

Requirements:

  • Freshman status (0-29 credit hours completed)
  • Biology major or minor
  • Minimum ACT score of 27 or minimum combined SAT score of 1200
