The Joann Brauer Fokes Endowed Graduate Scholarship (SF0067)

The 8Joann Brauer Fokes Endowed Graduate Scholarship* was established through the Texas State University Development Foundation to honor Dr. Joann Brauer Fokes and to provide scholarship support for students pursuing a graduate (MSCD or MACD) degree in the Department of Communication Disorders at Texas State University. The scholarship is available on a competitive basis.

Award determination is based on graduate enrollment in the Department of Communication Disorders, good academic and professional standing, and the criteria established in the scholarship Memorandum of Understanding. Preference will be given to non-traditional graduate students. For the purposes of this scholarship, non-traditional students may include, but are not limited to, students who have had a break in their formal education, are returning to higher education after work or family responsibilities, are pursuing graduate education after a prior career or significant life experience, or have other circumstances that distinguish their educational pathway from a traditional direct progression from undergraduate to graduate study.
