Margaret Alkek Scholarship (SA5506)

Recipients of the Margaret Alkek Scholarship must be a graduate from a high school in Bandera County, Texas and show participation in extra-curricular activities. Recipients will be undergraduate level students enrolled full-time and accepted to Texas State the year after high school graduation, transferring to Texas State with a minimum 2.0 GPA, or currently attending Texas State with a minimum 2.0 Texas State GPA.

Preference will be given to students who:

  • Demonstrate financial need, or
  • High school students applying for the scholarship who provide a recommendation letter from their high school principal or counselor, or
  • Transfer college students with a minimum 3.0 GPA, or
  • Current Texas State students with a minimum 3.0 Texas State GPA
