This application will award scholarship funds for the 2026-2027 academic year
The Charles and Linda Scholarship should be designated to graduate stuclent(s) pursuing a degree in Engineering with an Industrial Engineering concentration, a Masters in Industrial and Business Operations Engineering, or Ph.D. in Medical and Manufacturing Engineering at Texas State University using the below criteria.
- The scholarship recipient is to be a graduate student majoring in a field of study focused on using the tools of industrial engineering or operations research to measure effectiveness and quality improvement of health services.
- Preference will be given to students who are actively involved in research on healthcare quality improvement and writing a thesis or future doctoral dissertation.
- Additional preference will be given to students who are preparing for a career in which they will rely upon these analysis tools for their principal employment responsibilities.
- Additional preference will be given to students who have active participation in the Omega Leo Medical Explorer Club.
