TXST Internship Scholarships

The TXST Internship Scholarship Fund is managed by Career Services and provides support for Texas State University undergraduate students with financial need to participate in meaningful internship experiences. Internships are work-based learning experiences that help students connect their academic journey to their future careers. The scholarship is open to Texas State undergraduate students who have secured an internship for the spring 2026 semester with any company or institution. Amounts awarded may vary based on need and funding source, with past recipients receiving an average of $1,500.

Eligibility and award criteria:

  • Students who are awarded a TXST Internship Scholarship will receive the award in one payment during the spring 2026 semester.
  • Only Texas State University undergraduate students are eligible.
  • Recipients must be enrolled at Texas State University during the spring 2026 semester.
  • Recipients must be in good academic standing with the university.
  • Students must show proof, via a letter from their internship site, that they have been offered and accepted an internship position during spring 2026.
  • If selected, recipients must be enrolled in and complete the zero-credit internship course, AE 3000, during the spring 2026 semester.
  • Financial need will be a consideration when determining recipients of the limited number of scholarships.

How will it help you manage or overcome any financial challenges? List out specific financial challenges you face. Lastly, is there anything else you would like the scholarship committee to know about you or your background that was not covered in the above questions? (Between 350 - 750 words)

  4. Will you be enrolled in Texas State courses this spring, including but not limited to an internship course?
  5. Are you a first-generation student? The formal definition of a first-generation college student is a student whose parent(s) did not complete a four-year college or university degree in the United States.
  6. Please attach/upload your resume.
  7. Please upload your internship offer letter or document summarizing the following: company name, internship title, location, and duration (i.e., # of hours per week and total # of weeks). If you do not have this information yet, and you are selected as a recipient, please be aware we will request this information from your supervisor before funds are dispersed.
  8. Recipients of the scholarship are required to enroll in and complete the zero-credit, no cost internship course, AE 3000. Do you agree with the terms?
