First Gen Career Grant Scholarship (SF0069)
This program offers a comprehensive four-year scholarship accompanied by various career-related co-curricular experiences.
- Year One: You will participate in a job/internship fair coordinated on campus by Career Services, and you will participate in an informational interview with a professional in the field you are interested in studying. Both of these experiences will start developing your knowledge of the professional field and start your professional network.
- Year Two: You will engage in the Bobcat Shadow program through Career Services, where you will have the opportunity to shadow professionals in the field. This hands-on experience allows you to gain valuable insights and practical knowledge about your chosen profession.
- Year Three: You will participate in the Social Capital Academy, earning employable skill badges in critical thinking, interpersonal communications, group dynamics, and emotional intelligence. These skills are essential for success in the modern workplace and will enhance your employability.
- Year Four: You will complete your experience with a senior project and work closely with a Career Services staff member to prepare you for your transition to your career field.
Scholarship Amount: You will receive a $1,000 scholarship in Years 1, 2, and 3, and a $2,000 scholarship in Year 4 of the program.
