Study in America Scholarship - Spring (SS0110)

The Study in America Scholarship is awarded through a competitive application process open to all eligible undergraduate and graduate Texas State University students. This scholarship supports participation in Texas State-approved Study in America programs—credit-bearing academic experiences conducted within the United States.

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the Study in America Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Undergraduate Students: Must be enrolled at least part-time at Texas State with a minimum cumulative Texas State GPA of 2.75.
  • First-Semester Transfer Students: Must have an admission GPA of 2.75 or higher.
  • Graduate Students: Must be enrolled at least part-time at Texas State with a minimum cumulative Texas State GPA of 3.25.

Additional Requirements:

  • Students must be enrolled in a Texas State-approved Study in America program.
  • Students must be in good academic and disciplinary standing at Texas State.
  • Students must be enrolled at Texas State during the semester prior to participating in the Study in America program.

Scholarship Criteria and Selection
Scholarships are awarded based on a point-based system and the availability of funds. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee an award, as funding is limited and applications often exceed available resources. Submissions produced by Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be disqualified.

  • Cost of Program
  • Study in America Program Need

Awards
Seven (7) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded in the 2026 academic year.
Scholarship awards are subject to change depending on available funds and applicant volume.

Awardees will be notified within two weeks of the SIA program application deadline. Disbursements are subject to the Financial Aid and Scholarships disbursements deadline.
