David and Joycelyn Riggs Scholarship Endowment (SR0049)

The David and Joycelyn Riggs scholarship recognizes business students who meet the following criteria:

1. The recipient(s) must be enrolled full time in McCoy College and majoring in one of the business disciplines.
2. The recipient(s) should exhibit financial need.
3. For an incoming student, recipient should have graduated in the top 25% of his/her graduating high school class.
4. For an existing student, recipient should have a GPA of 3.25
5. Preference for a first-generation student.
6. Preference for a student that participates in one or more of the following campus organizations that is open to all Texas State students:
a. Black Student Alliance (BSA)
b. National Association of Black Accountants (NABA)
c. National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)

This scholarship is renewable so long as the recipient continues to exhibit financial need and maintain a 3.25 GPA.
