TXST Summer Internship Scholarships

The TXST Summer Internship Scholarship Fund, offered by Career Services and the Experiential, Career, and Community-Engaged Learning (EXC2EL) Center, provides support for Texas State University undergraduate students with financial need to participate in unpaid or under-funded internship experiences. Internships are work-based learning experiences that help students connect their academic journey to their future careers. The scholarship is open to Texas State undergraduate students who have secured an internship for the summer semester with any company or institution. Amounts awarded may vary based on need and funding source, with past recipients receiving an average of $1,500.

Eligibility and award criteria –

• Students who are awarded these scholarships will receive the award in two separate payments during the summer.
• Only Texas State University undergraduate students are eligible.
• Recipients must be current Texas State students and be enrolled in classes for the upcoming fall term.
• Recipients must be in good academic standing with the university, maintaining a cumulative Texas State GPA of at least 2.00.
• Students must show proof, via a letter from their internship site, that they have been offered and accepted an internship position this summer.
• If selected, students will be asked to submit two separate reflections (mid-term and final).
• Financial need will be a consideration when determining recipients of the limited number of scholarships.
