Samsung Scholarship (SS0089)

The purpose of the fund shall be to provide scholarships and financial assistance for students who meet the criteria.

Criteria for recipients follow:

• Assist deserving students in attaining their educational goals.
• Encourage and inspire students to pursue careers in the semiconductor advanced manufacturing industry.
• Promote semiconductor manufacturing amongst The Society of Women Engineers student organization.
• Hosted onsite visit to Samsung Austin Semiconductor initiated by Texas State University
• Students must submit an essay stating why they are interested in studying semiconductor manufacturing.
• Preference for students with interests in the semiconductor advanced manufacturing industry.
• Preference for engineering students majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial
• Engineering for BS or MS and Material Science for PhD.
• Preference for Junior, Senior, Master level students.
