Kent Finlay Legacy Endowed Scholarship in Texas Music History (SF0023)
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be either a History or Music major.
- Applicants must be current graduate or undergraduate students with a minimum 3.5 GPA.
- Preference in the awarding of this scholarship will be given to those applicants who are studying Texas Music History.
- Applicants must provide two (2) letters of recommendation from faculty members.
- Applicants are required to submit a 750-1000 word essay describing how the study of history (especially Texas Music History) has enhanced the applicant’s understanding of American society and of history as a discipline.
- If applying to the Lumia Scholarship, you may use the same essay for both applications.
Finlay Scholars will be required
- to maintain an overall and semester-by-semester GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- to enroll in at least 6 semester hours
Failure to comply will constitute grounds for forfeiture of the Kent Finlay Scholarship
