Dorothy Coker Research Fellowship (SC0001)
The Dorothy Coker Research Fellowship was established in December 1998 by the Dorothy Coker Trust Estate to honor the memory of Dorothy Coker and to award graduate students in the College of Science and Engineering.
PURPOSE – The primary purpose of the Dorothy Coker Research Fellowship is to fund graduate student research in any of the scientific disciplines.
AWARD AMOUNT – Requested budget total should not exceed $1100. The scholarship committee will select one master’s recipient and one doctoral recipient.
ELIGIBILITY – Any Texas State University master’s or doctoral student in the College of Science and Engineering is eligible to apply.

- Cover Page - Include name, program and degree, research advisor, budget total requested, graduate GPA and expected graduation date.
- Abstract - Provide as abstract that summarizes the project.
- Narrative - Include introduction, methods, interpretations/significance of work, detailed budget justification (discuss if work can be done with less money), and references. Use language that can be understood by reviewers outside your field of research.
Narrative should be limited to 5 pages. Use double spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font with one-inch margins. - Have you previously received the Dorothy Coker Research Fellowship?
