Food Security LEADers Scholarship (SL0038)
The Food Security LEADers Learning Community (LEADers) at Texas State University is excited to announce the $25,000 Food Security LEADers Scholarship opportunity. This scholarship will cover tuition fees, conference travel, a laptop, and a stipend. The scholarship will be distributed over two academic years beginning in Fall 2022. This opportunity is open to any student with an interest in food security research who is planning to attend or currently enrolled in the Texas State University MS in Human Nutrition program. The scholarship recipient will conduct research under the guidance of Dr. Lesli Biediger-Friedman, serve as a key researcher within the LEADers learning community, and provide mentorship to research-focused undergraduate students. The scholarship recipient will participate in presentation and publication of research results at state and national conferences.
Student must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above and remain engaged in community nutrition research to remain eligible.
