The Jance E. Collins Memorial Endowed Graduate Student (SC0019)
The Scholarship was established by Joe Collins to serve as a lasting legacy to the memory of his wife, Janice Collins, who served the Austin legal community with great distinction for over 15 years as a legal assistant. Mrs. Collins was an alumna of Texas State University, having received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 1992 and a Master of Arts in Legal Studies in 1999.
Criteria for awarding this Scholarship are as follows:
- Applicant must be a non-traditional student;
- Applicant must have an overall GPA of at least 3.25 in their graduate studies; and
- Applicant must be a master’s degree candidate in the Master of Arts Legal Studies program, who is personally financing at least 50 percent of his/her graduate education at Texas State University
