Sam W. Marshall Scholarship (SM6179)

Scholarship funds are intended to cover the costs associated with the students’ summer tuition. Juniors in the Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care (BSRC) program with an overall GPA of 3.0: Respiratory care (RC) major GPA of 3.25, minimum of 18 hours taken at Texas State and show a financial need are eligible. Students must also provide two personal essays about their RC career plans/interests, two Scholarship letters of reference, and a resume.

Distributions from the fund shall be used to award scholarships benefiting students majoring in Respiratory Care in the College of Health Professions or to assist these students with fees for exams. The Scholarship Selection Committee within the Department of Respiratory Care will review applications and select the recipient.
