The Don and Reba Blaschke Scholarship for the Protection of the San Marcos River (SB5080)
The Don and Reba Blaschke Scholarship is awarded annually by the Meadows Center. In 2002, Kurt Waldhauser and Dr. Glen Blaschke established the Don and Reba Blaschke Scholarship in honor of their parents’ dedication and life-long commitment to environmental appreciation and protection. This scholarship gives Kurt, Glen and the university community an opportunity to participate in the preservation of San Marcos’ most significant natural resource: the San Marcos River. Kurt is a Texas State University Geography alumnus, graduating in December 1996 with a B.S. in general geography. Glen is a Texas State University Biology alumnus and first Texas State student to be admitted to Baylor College of Medicine.
