Nations Family Endowed Scholarship (SN0016)

Thank you to the generous support of Brad and Patty Nations for establishing the Nations Family Endowed Scholarship for Bobcats at Texas State University.

Criteria to Apply:

  • Enrolled in a Texas State University undergraduate program
  • Overall GPA of 2.5 of higher at the time of application
  • Enrolled in 12 credit hours or more in the semester scholarship is awarded
  • Member of an LGBTQIA+ organization that is open to anyone
  • Demonstrated experience in or commitment to supporting and promoting the needs of transgender individuals

Scholarship applicants must provide:

  • Resume that lists the following: extra- and co-curricular activities, hobbies, achievements in and out of school, academic honors, and other experience pertinent to the receipt of this scholarship.
  • Essay that addresses the following: in 500 words, provide a biographical narrative about your life: how do you interact with your family; what is your proudest accomplishment; what impact do you have in your community or at school; what are your personal and professional goals; and how you expect to make future contribution to a better LGBTQIA+ community? What distinguishes you from other applicants? Is there anything vital you want to share?
